Crispy Italian Stromboli Stuffed with Salami, Mozzarella, and Marinara Sauce
Ingredients:
1 lb pizza dough
8 oz sliced salami
8 oz sliced mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup marinara sauce
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp olive oil
Flour for dusting
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 12×14 inches.
Spread the marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
Layer the salami and mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the top.
Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log, tucking in the sides as you go.
Place the Stromboli seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Brush the top with the beaten egg and make a few slashes on top to allow steam to escape.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra marinara sauce on the side.
