Directions:

Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into circles using a donut cutter or a round object.

Heat oil in a large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the donuts in batches, flipping once, until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.

Transfer the donuts to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
