Sweet and Savory Brown Sugar Ham Glaze
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Pinch of salt
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar.
Stir the mixture over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved and the glaze begins to simmer.
Reduce the heat to low and add the ground cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt.
Simmer the glaze for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
The glaze will continue to thicken as it cools.
Use the glaze to coat your ham, applying during the last 30 minutes of baking for a beautifully caramelized finish.
