Tender Mississippi Chicken with Zesty Peppers
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 packet au jus gravy mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter
6-8 pepperoncini peppers
1/4 cup pepperoncini juice
Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Directions:
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.
Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix over the chicken.
Place the butter on top of the chicken, and add the pepperoncini peppers and juice.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the juices and peppers.
Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or on a sandwich bun. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
