Irresistible Apple Cream Cake
Delectable Apple Cream Delight
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup whole milk
3 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
Arrange half of the sliced apples over the batter. Pour the remaining batter over the apples and spread evenly. Arrange the remaining apples on top.
In a small bowl, combine the heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Drizzle the mixture over the top layer of apples.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
