Homemade Payday Candy Bars
Ingredients:
2 cups salted peanuts, divided
3 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup peanut butter chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Spread 1 cup of the salted peanuts evenly over the bottom of the dish.
Melt Ingredients: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the peanut butter chips and sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly until smooth and well combined.
Add Marshmallows: Remove the mixture from heat and quickly stir in the mini marshmallows and vanilla extract until fully melted and incorporated.
Assemble the Bars: Pour the mixture over the peanuts in the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of peanuts on top, pressing them gently into the marshmallow mixture.
Chill: Allow the bars to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
Serve: Once set, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and cut them into squares or bars.
