1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon paprika

Vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
Place chicken pieces in a large bowl and pour buttermilk over them.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing the excess to drip off.
Dredge each piece in the seasoned flour mixture, pressing firmly to ensure the coating sticks.
Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the chicken in batches, careful not to overcrowd the pan, for 10-12 minutes per side or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Drain the fried chicken on paper towels before serving.
