Succulent Shrimp Scampi in a Garlic Butter Sauce
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Cooked pasta or crusty bread for serving
Directions:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the white wine and lemon juice.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and stir until melted.
Return the shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat with the sauce, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Stir in the fresh parsley and adjust seasoning as needed.
