Classic Chocolate and Vanilla Swirl Cupcakes
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp heavy cream

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk and sour cream, starting and ending with the dry mixture. Mix until just combined.
Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
For the frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy.
Gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
Beat until smooth and fluffy.
Frost the cooled cupcakes as desired, using a piping bag or spreading with a spatula.
