Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
1/2 cup whole milk, warm
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 large egg
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup water, warm
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, heavy cream, egg, and softened butter.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Add the warm water and continue kneading for about 8-10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl.
Cover with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into three equal portions.
Roll each portion into a log and place them side by side in a greased loaf pan.
Cover the pan with the towel and let the dough rise again for 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake the loaf for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and brush the top with melted butter for extra softness.
Let the bread cool slightly before slicing.
