Succulent Asparagus-Stuffed Chicken Breast

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
12 asparagus spears, trimmed
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lemon, sliced

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut a pocket into each chicken breast by slicing through the side without cutting all the way through.

Season the inside of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and the dried Italian herbs.

Stuff each chicken breast with 3 asparagus spears and a portion of mozzarella cheese.

Secure the chicken breasts with toothpicks if necessary.

Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.

Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Place the stuffed chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Sprinkle the tops with Parmesan cheese and add lemon slices on top.

Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
